As we head to the close of the year, there are two quick things I wanted to personally update you on.
When I began in 2011, people started calling my work Write that Essay, named after the book I wrote of the same title. Initially, it worked. But over the years, as we’ve expanded to a system that teaches every aspect of writing development from Year 1 to the final years of high school, it just made sense to adopt a name that better represented what we actually do.
So from today, everything we do with your school—whether it’s in-class coaching or school programmes or the online tool—will be under the banner of Writer’s Toolbox. You’ll see this change progressively roll out across our products and services over the next few months.
Underneath, our core values remain the same. I founded this company on two key beliefs: that every student can be taught to write well and grasp the life possibilities to which they aspire. And that the teacher is the dynamic force for change in the classroom. These two values determine everything we do as a company and will continue to do so.
And secondly, please have your resident school technical genius whitelist our new URLs for logging in: www.writerstoolbox.com and the short version, www.wtbox.com so that your use of Writer’s Toolbox remains seamless.
All the best,
Dr Ian Hunter & the Writer’s Toolbox Team
